About This Project

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering not one but two different cohort offerings in the first half through Barnabas & Co.

Why Cohorts?

In our experience of coming alongside pastors and ministry leaders, we've come to discover that one of the primary issues contributing to the high rates of burnout, anxiety/depression, and even pastors wanting to leave their ministry post (or full-time ministry altogether) isn't just related to the rigors of ministry or the immense stress of their job.  But rather, we've come to understand that isolation and loneliness are two of the primary drivers that are exacerbating much of the malaise that we are seeing in pastors and ministry leaders.

In our experience of serving pastors and ministry leaders these past two years, we've also come to learn that while one-on-one care is good, the best formation actually occurs in the context of relationships and community.  Here are three reasons as to why we are investing so heavily into our cohort offerings for the 2024 ministry year:

  • Belonging & Connection: Because cohorts allow participants to engage in shared experiences, discussions, and activities - it creates a greater sense of belonging and connection within the group.

  • Amplifies Learning & Understanding:  A cohort-based approach to learning actually amplifies and enriches the learning experience because it allows participants to draw from the insights, perspectives, and experiences of others in the group.

  • Catalytic & Transformational:  Shared experiences not only foster a greater sense of belonging, it actually catalyzes and deepens the formational process for participants.

In addition to the Journey of Wholeness and Be Free cohorts, we are planning to provide 1-2 more cohort offerings in the second half of 2024.  As with all of our ministry offerings through B&C, our desire is to offer these experiences to Asian American pastors and ministry leaders at no-cost - as a tangible expression of God's grace and generosity.  We are looking to raise $30,000 for our cohort offerings for the 2024 ministry year.  As a 501c3 religious non-profit organization, your charitable gifts and contributions are 100% tax-deductible.

Barnabas & Co.

At Barnabas & Co., we believe that the most precious resource of every leader is their soul. When the leader’s soul is healthy - the families, churches and organizations that they lead are going to be healthy.

This is why our mission at Barnabas & Co. is to come alongside Christian leaders in order to resource and help care for their souls. Because when the leader's soul is healthy, everybody wins.
